Withdrawal limits

Withdrawal limits are set in VDMSync. Unlike SupplyPoint allowances, they count withdrawals from all machines of a location. Example: a "1 pair of gloves per day" limit applies to all the machines in the building together, not to each one separately.

Adding a limit

  1. Open Withdrawal limits and click Add limit.
  2. Where: choose the Agent and the Machine. The limit applies to all machines in that agent's location.
  3. Who: Employee (employee number) or User group.
  4. What: Item (item number) or Item group.
  5. Limit: Quantity pieces Per a number of units (Minute, Hour, Day, Week). Example: 5 per 1 day.
  6. Click Add limit.

To edit, click the limit in the list. To delete, use the row menu → Delete. After deleting, employees can take items without that limit straight away.

How a limit works

  • A sliding period counts: the last N minutes, hours, days or weeks. Returns reduce the usage.
  • A group limit applies to every member separately.
  • If several limits and allowances apply to an employee, the strictest one wins.
  • When a limit is used up, VDMSync tells the agents at the location to block further withdrawals of that item (or group). The block lifts by itself when the limit allows again, even without internet.
  • A limit acts after synchronization. A single withdrawal can go over it, and the block on other machines appears after a few minutes.
  • The block works only on a machine that has a SupplyPoint allowance for that employee (or their group) and that item (or group). If there is none, add one in SupplyPoint allowances.

Requires permission: Withdrawal limits → Add / Edit / Delete. The screen is for users assigned to the whole organization.
